Education:

Master of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Wood Processing NTNU (NTH) Trondheim, Norway.

Professional career:

John Arne Ulvan has extensive experience from a range of industries relevant to Borregaard, in addition to solid leadership experience, most recently as CEO of Mantena AS (2021–2024). Before that, Mr Ulvan served as CEO of Felleskjøpet Agri SA (2011–2020). He has also held various roles at Norsk Hydro/Yara in strategy, business development, and marketing (1990–2011).

Ulvan is currently a board member of Capsol Technologies ASA and has held several board positions related to his tenure at Felleskjøpet Agri, including membership in the Executive Committee of InterCOOP (Switzerland) and deputy chairman of the corporate assembly of Moelven Industrier ASA.

Mr Ulvan has been a board member of Borregaard ASA since 2021 and is a member of the audit & sustainability committee.
