Wood trucks
1. In general
a) Be helpful in ensuring that the unloading can take place without damage to the equipment or personnel, e.g. that the timber claw from the loading machine does not catch hold of frames, poles etc. Swing the timber crane out on the driver's side of the truck and place it onto the ground. Use the standard routing symbols as shown at the end of these instructions.
b) You are responsible for ensuring that unloading happens in the correct place and without damage to the equipment or personnel. Red timber (black 110/black 4320) shall be marked with a yellow label and test loads shall be marked with a red label. The labels must be placed on the side, facing the timber truck. Notify the operating staff of the labelling by telephone: +47 69 11 82 83.
c) If the driver does not use correct protective equipment or there is no quality marking on the timber load, the operating staff at the wood yard will not unload the truck. The driver is responsible for ensuring that the load is correctly marked.
2. A safety line has been drawn along the railway track. All unloading trucks must be parked on the right side of this line. The distance to the safety line must be such that the person giving the signal (the driver) also has room for standing on the same side. To avoid accidents, the driver must keep a distance of minimum 20 metres while unloading.
3. The driver must remove the load securing in the designated place. See picture in these instructions.
4. Cleaning of wood trucks must take place at the designated blowing station south of the dry cleaners, as shown in the picture in these instructions. If the blowing equipment does not work, please contact the operating staff by telephone: +47 69 11 82 83.
Chip trucks
You must onload the chip truck at the chip pile as shown in the picture in these instructions. The unloading field will move as the opening in the pile moves. Always drive counter-clockwise around the pile.
Make eye contact with the driver of the wheel loader before entering the machine's work area. This applies to both vehicles and pedestrians.
Breach of instructions
If you don’t comply with these regulations, you will be banned from Borregaard’s industrial area for three months.
Borregaard AS disclaims any liability for damage to people or property caused by failure to comply with these instructions.
