Exilva Salt Compatibility
Tests in our laboratory demonstrate the compatibility of Exilva® with different salts. Exilva maintains the shear thinning behaviour with high viscosity at rest and low viscosity at high shear. Exilva exhibits compatibility in liquid fertilizers and formulations containing salts or nutrients.
Results show that Exilva has a high level of compatibility with common mono and multivalent salts. No flocculation, gelling or precipitation is observed.
Exilva's good compatibility and high tolerance to different salts allow using the bio-based additive to thicken and stabilise high electrolyte content systems such as liquid fertilizers, as well as formulations of micronutrients and macronutrients. When used as rheology modifier in crop protection formulations, Exilva can potentially improve the compatibility of these products with liquid fertilizers compared to other rheology modifiers, stabilisers or thickeners.
Key takeaways:
- Exilva is robust and compatible in high salt content formulations.
- Exilva can be used as a rheology additive or stabiliser in liquid fertilizers or crop protection formulations added to liquid fertilizers.
- Exilva is a bio-based, biodegradable rheology modifier and stabiliser for high salt content formulations.
