Field Trial: Predicting farm fines in turkey finisher pellets

This pelleting trial on a turkey finisher feed in the USA shows how Ameri-Bond 2X improved pellet durability and reduced fines in feed delivered to the farm. There was a good correlation between pellet durability and delivered fines.  Pellet quality improvement with 1% Ameri-Bond 2X was greater than with 10% wheat.

The field trial comprised a control run of standard turkey finisher versus reformulation with 1% Ameri-Bond 2X or 10% wheat. Ameri-Bond 2X was more effective at improving pellet durability, reducing delivered fines, and reducing segregation. There was a good correlation between pellet durability and delivered fines.
