Carbon Black Granulation
Borregaard offers a wide portfolio of sustainable binders and milling aids for your virgin and recovered carbon black.
Our lignin-based binding agents have been well known to the carbon black industry for many years. As manufactured, carbon black typically requires densification to convert it to a more suitable form as a fluffy powder. Our products will assist your agglomeration process in forming homogeneous pellets and beads with low fines and attrition and the strength needed to be delivered to your customer in the expected condition.
Recovered carbon black, retrieved from tires, is commonly produced by a thermal catalytic decomposition process called pyrolysis. Generally, this form of carbon black also requires densification.

Our sustainable lignosulfonates reduce fines and attrition while improving crush strength to required levels.
