Pyrite Depression Study
In a preliminary laboratory study, we tested Pionera F-255 in a chalcopyrite cleaner flotation with high pyrite (>20%) containing ore. The feed for the laboratory flotation cell came directly from the cleaner feed tank in the plant.
The cleaner feed had an iron content of about 20%, most of it as pyrite. The standard reagent suite was applied and conditioned, and flotation lasted 8 min.
