Human rights
Borregaard strives to prevent all forms of human rights violations, as well as ensure decent working conditions.
Respect for human rights is an important element, both in Borregaard's culture and values (“The Borregaard Way”) and our ethical guidelines (“Code of Conduct” & “Supplier Code of Conduct”). The duty to respect human rights applies not only to our own operations, but also applies to our relations with business partners, suppliers, customers, and others who are influenced by our company’s activities.
We carry out due diligence assessments based on OECD's guidelines for multinational companies to map our risk and how this can be minimised, in accordance with The Norwegian Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven). Borregaard's Human Rights & Decent Working Conditions Report can be downloaded here.
