Supplier Code of Conduct

We provide our code of conduct to all new and existing suppliers. this document contains principles from the global un compact as well as standards from the international labour organisation. we consider compliance with our supplier code of conduct when selecting suppliers and placing orders. we expect that these requirements are adhered to and distributed through your supply chain.

EHS training

Our safety targets include zero accidents, zero fires, and no serious spillage. We take your safety seriously and have therefore made three different EHS courses designed to best match your assignment at Borregaard.

Safety Rules

These documents describe Borregaard's safety objectives and general EHS regulations. The content is applicable to Borregaard's site in Sarpsborg and properties associated with our plants. Anyone who attends these sites has a responsibility to comply with the provisions.

H1/LTIF and Sick Leave

Borregaard supports The Federation of Norwegian Industries' zero vision that no one should get injured or sick from working in Norwegian industrial companies. In order to achieve our zero vision, we depend on you as a supplier, to assist us through systematic EHS work with a particular focus on prevention and continuous improvement.

Warranty Bond Guarantee

For larger procurements, we require insurance during the guarantee period with a bank guarantee corresponding to the Warranty Bond Guarantee with validity until the expiry of the guarantee.

Advanced Payment Guarantee

When invoicing prior to providing services or goods, Borregaard requires an advanced payment guarantee that is valid until the service or goods have been delivered. In case of delay, the guarantee must be extended.

Instructions for Transporters of Wood

All road-users in the unloading area must give way to wood trucks and wheel loaders. This applies to both vehicles and pedestrians.

Instructions for Drivers of Loading Machines

All driving with loading machines in the wood yard must be carried out in a safe and correct manner.
These instructions apply to loading machines for handling bark, moth and knot pulp at the wood yard and the Boiler house.
The drivers of the loading machines must familiarise themselves with the instructions for the machine to be used, and they are responsible for ensuring that the instructions are complied with.
