Exilva for film coated seeds
Exilva® is an efficient, biodegradable stabiliser for solids, actives, pigments and nutrients in liquid coatings containing high solids content, high amounts of salts or multiple actives. It creates porous films and coatings, enabling early seed germination.
Exilva is a microfibrillated cellulose that enhances film forming in seed coatings. In the liquid coating, it provides anti-settling properties leading to homogeneous coated surfaces. The product can be used in developments to solve structuring or compatibility challenges, as well as in microplastics-free innovations.
Benefits offered:
- Allows formulating with multiple actives in high ionic strength conditions and within a wide pH range
- Reduces dust-off
- Enhances early germination
Performance data
Exilva temperature stability
Laboratory studies demonstrate that exilva is stable and robust when used as a rheology modifier or stabiliser over a wide temperature range.
Exilva ph compatibility
Laboratory studies demonstrate that exilva is compatible and robust when used as a rheology modifier or stabiliser in acidic and alkaline environments.
Exilva salt compatibility
Laboratory studies demonstrate that exilva is compatible and robust when used as a rheology modifier or stabiliser in high salt content systems.
Exilva – dust reduction in seed coatings and treatments
Work performed by an external research institute shows how exilva reduces dust-off, improves plantability and maintains the flowability of coated soybeans.
